Rob Swift is one of the members of top DJ group The X-Ecutioners (or X-Men) who not only released excellent projects as part of the DJ crew but also as a solo artist (check the discography). Now Swift is dropping his new DVD, As The Tables Turn, a documentary where he tells his life story as well as the story behind the break up of the X-Ecutioners (plus some hot never-before-seen Djing footage). 1. My father, Jose Aguilar - he was my first model of what a DJ does.
If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't even know DJing existed!
2. My brother, John Aguilar - my bro was my first teacher. He showed me how to scratch, backspin and blend. He instilled in me all of the necessary qualities a DJ must have.
3. Dr. Butcher - he was my second teacher. While my brother taught me all the physical qualities a DJ should have, Dr. Butcher instilled the spiritual side of DJing in me. Butcher taught me how to break down all barriers. He taught me how to take my capabilities to the next level!
4. Steve Dee - by inducting me into the X-men, he gave me the opportunity to surround myself around a bunch of hungry, talented DJs. This served as motiviation for me to become even better!
5. D.ST - for me, D.ST is an example of what all DJs should aspire to be... musicians on the turntables!
